I work in a wide range of areas, having developed my education and training in a variety of settings ranging from the corporate sector to community health organizations, the University of Calgary, rehabilitation insitutions and private practice. As a result, my practice consists of a broad range of clinical areas such as Addictions, Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Anger and Abuse, PTSD and Trauma, Chronic Pain, Stepfamily issues, Workplace issues, Self-Esteem, Mid-life issues, Life transitions (including retirement) and Infidelity.
I would describe my practice as a warm, friendly, client-centered enterprise in which I work with the client to help him or her achieve the goals they are seeking to reach.
My role in the counseling process is to provide expert guidance, education, support and motivation with a particular emphasis on skill development. My goal is to equip my client with the knowledge and resources he or she will need to live their lives without stress, anxiety or fear. To accomplish this task, I use a variety of counseling approaches ranging from Cognitive-Behavioural therapy to Interpersonal therapy, Biofeedback training, Relaxation training, EMDR, Hypnosis, Karma Yoga, Solution-focused therapy and coaching.
