I focus on child and family oriented therapy which emphasizes the emotional health of each member of the family or relationship. Individual therapy focusing on dealing with traumatic or limiting beliefs is often needed while the children's emotional, behavioral and learning problems are addressed. I complete learning disability assessments to address academic and social learning, parenting assessments to address the parents' needs with a view to addressing the family difficulties.  Trauma treatment is often required in the forms of EMDR, Self-Regulation Therapy. Play Therapy and Systematic Desensitiztion.  Custody and Child Protection assessment are designed to determine the best interests of the child.  Attachment issues are an important part of any assessment and treatment.  The whole person is treated as an essential member of the whole family unit.
